The Labour Day Weekend yielded such awesome weather. My son Mike and his fiance Yvonne were heading up for 4 days of camping relaxation on Monday. Bon Echo is just over an hour from our house and we hadn't been there for a couple of years so we decided to take a drive. When we got there around 1:30 pm the park was pretty quiet and there were more vacant sites than populated ones. Obviously a sign that summer is coming to an end. I've always loved this park with it's beautiful cliffs, clear beautiful water and trees. Enjoy a walk in the park with us.
Tree with a funky fungus! Not sure what it is but it is quite colourful.

One of the joys of life is camping in the pines. These shots remind me of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Ruth that area is very similar to Northern Michigan. We made that drive several times from the Sault to Port Huron when we lived in Thunder Bay. I love that I live halfway between Ottawa and Toronto and can get a taste of city life, 1 hour from northern country and lakes and can also enjoy the rural life around me.
Looks like a great way to end the summer. Lovely place. :)
