Maine - Grand Falls

A few weeks back I took a business trip to Maine. I stayed in the small city of Auburn. These pictures are of the Grand Falls that were located directly behind my hotel. Across the river is the city of Lewiston, Maine. The skyline shows that in the past this was a very industrial area. Most of the factories are empty or used for another purpose. Thursday night my boss and I walked across the bridge to Lewiston and ate in a restaurant in one of these old factories. I liked this shot of the church spire next to the weather vane topper...not sure if that is what they call it so I'll call it that for lack of a better word.
Here's a closer shot of the falls and one of the factories. It was nice that the Hilton had a walkway along the edge of the river so that I could take these shots.

And this is from the edge of the bridge... before we walked over to Lewiston.

It was area to visit and I spent the Friday before I returned home visiting Freeport Maine. Helloooooo LL BEAN. And Portland Maine where I managed to spend $130 on Yarn. I hit up Seaport Yarn and Knitwit. Great yarn shops if you're ever in the area.

Just got an LL Bean catalog in the mail yesterday. I didn't realize Maine had falls like this, and even right in town! Pretty.
